We're Back!

OK, so it took a month... not the "week or so" that we predicted, to get completely moved and more-or-less settled in to our new office space. Due to the inefficiencies of our local phone company, Qwest, we are still waiting for the DSL to be turned on. (56K seems extremely slow after having been spoiled by months of using broadband.) All the reasons behind the substantial delay would be cumbersome in their explanation, so we won't. However, we're now in a new environment. We are hoping that this simple fact will lead to some new and different ideas for subjects about which we will write. We are definitely spending less money than we did before the move, which should increase the site's financial long-term viability. On the subject of finances... Just before we moved, we went on strike for a couple weeks (wasn't it?), asking that readers help us out by buying stuff through our two Cafe Press stores, or making donations through PayPal, so we would at least be able to pay for the hosting fees. Only minor activity has occurred with the store, but donations have continued to trickle in -- even while we were tied up with the move. We know who you are, and -- although we haven't taken the time to thank you separately via email -- we really are thankful for the few of you who care enough (and can afford) to show it with a few bucks.
