Subject: Wolves are murderers says PETA... :(

Hi my name is Michelle, and I was a member of PETA until yesterday when I came accross the article Wolves are murderers says PETA. I could not believe what I was hearing.!!!! I was a member for 10 years and have marched for animal rights all over. Well, one of my biggest crusades is the wolves. I and countless other people have withdrew their memberships with PETA because of this.

PETA always said they do what they do for the animals, well the last time I checked wolves were animals!!!!! Yes, they do kill rabbits and small animals. But they do to survive!! They do not do it for fun!! What stupidity in that statement!! Should we ban all cats for killing mice? Or other animals for surviving the only way they know how.... I am a vegetarian and I choose not to eat meet. The wolves and other animals have no choice in the matter!!! Thank you for the article and I am spreading it all over the Internet channels I frequent!!

Don't get too excited. The picture of the wolf in a suit might indicate that the piece is satire.

I would prefer my name and address be withheld.

I have been a member of Peta for many years but I am going to have to re-think my position with them. I have always been a staunch suporter of the right of Wolves and really, all other animals rights to live in the wild. After reading the statement Peta made about the Wolves, I don't know if I want to suport them anymore. Animals do only what God meant them to do unless trained otherwise by man. The mothers take care of their young, not abandon or kill them. Wolves and doves mate for life, a lot better than a lot of humans.

Sincerely,

A new reader.

Believe us, the article was satire!

I'm fourteen years old and although i might be young, i can still see the difference between a good article from a bad one. This article is sooo stupid! I cant believe the ignorant comments you have put in this article. it is gay . You should be protecting animals not calling them murderers!. Wolves hunt animals to survive and go on with life. they dont do it because theyre sick minded. Wolves are my favorite animalsand if you want to write an article anbout murderers then write one about people. idiots

Fourteen And Clueless. Didn't some one-hit wonder do that song in the 50s?

look i think that u are all jerks not only is a wolf not a savage killer but u have no thoughts for anyone ur makening stupid remarks. u probebly know nothing about the wolves infact wolves are my favorite animals and the arnt savage killers because i live by them and i go up in the mountains and visit them all the time, and they actually have started to gain a trust from me and they dont run away anymore, plus u idiots, animals have to servive we eat cows and chikens and the butchers slaughter them. should that be such a horriable thing yes it is gross but wolves need to servive, cats or kitties as u would say kill mice and birds to either eat or for the fun of it because they move quikly and the cats think its sumthing to play with so ya know what kitties are killers to another thing alot of wolves like u said hunt in packs wich means they usally hunt for the whole pack wich also means that they hunt moose or deer or sumthing that can feed all of them, yes they hunt rabbits and whatever but they usally go for big animals to eat.

The inability to recognize satire may be an AOL user characteristic.

ok, when i saw your article, i immediately saw all the irony and symbolism etc. but i DON'T agree with it.

wolves have to kill to survive, and don't know anything else. humans have the choice of either eating meat or not eating meat. it's been medically PROVEN that it's healthier for humans to give up meat anyway (visit PETA's site for info on the benefits of going vegetarian or vegan at http://www.peta.org)

there is no rational reason for humans to kill things. we are beyond and above that now. yes, we have canine teeth, and if we were lost in the woods with nothing to eat we COULD eat an animal, but that doesn't mean it's the healthiest or most morally sound thing to do. meat is better than nothing, but there are LOTS of things way better for us than meat! also, many people don't have obvious canine teeth anymore. their teeth are flat going straight across.

going a bit off topic; HUNTING: i don't see why anyone finds joy in killing things. and you can't call it a "sport" if the other animal doesn't want to play, and has a gross disadvantage. "ooh, big strong human kills little innocent animal from far far away with a gun, tearing it's family apart, and making it suffer". real great acheivment, mister gunman.

back to eating meat, if PETA wants to promote it's beliefs, that's up to them. don't shoot them down, please. especially since they are trying to help both humans AND animals through their campaigns. remember, there was a time when blacks, or women were considered to be property, and had no rights, but now we realize that that was wrong wrong wrong. now it's time to realize that animals are not objects; they feel and have emotions too.

thank you for your time.

~Marie~

This is no laughing matter! How do you think the Three Little Pigs feel? Not to mention Little Red Riding Hood. we could stop the senseless slaughter of those furry lil animals by air lifting veggie burger patties to all those hungry wolves.

Enough is enough. You may get away with fighting against fur coats. Even when the common furs such as rabbit will only allow populations to increase into numbers beyond recognition if not controlled. The thought of an organization for animals to take a side against wolves (last I knew, they were animals) is plain crazy! What drug was in your veggie burger? What carnivore will be next? The Bald Eagle?! This article proves to me you are whacked! You win . . . you got my attention.

Wolves are the most wonderful creatures on this planet, those that do not agree , are just ignorant. I would rather live with a beautiful pack of wolves than with people that I consider animals themselves. I fully support wolves and I'm sure that there are millions of educated people that do too. Wolves are not killers, in order to survive that is their only way to get food and so do so many other animals. We humans eat meat, where do we get it from?
