I feel that Cops all around the U.S. are all under payed for what they do. I am going to be joining a Law Enforcement department myself and and just like the military not enough credit is given to the people who serve this country. I will admit that nobody does the job of a cop for the money though just like a teacher doesnt. You do it because you enjoy it. I would love to join the Suffolk County Police Department for a job but my wife will not move their. She would rather stay in Georgia. So I say to all my future bretheren of the police world thank you for the job you do. I am a native of Setauket, N.Y.

The SCPD should get rid of this guestbook. It has become a sound board for every scumbag/ex con that has been locked up by Suffolk's finest; to make a cowardly cheapshot. It is an embarrassment to the SCPD to let these cowards post their bias opinions. Felons don't have the right to vote they definitely should not have the right to post things on this sight

So you think I ought to be fried in oil, huh? So I made three women strip down for me, big deal! I never laid a hand on them, just on myself, huh, huh, huh, huh! I won't lose my job, the blue wall is too high, and besides, you think no one knew about this? We had a slang name for it, "make em" walk the naked mile!" The chief won't have the balls to do a thing!

To Joe Cop...Open up your eyes and know that there are always a handful of people that "slip through" in any profession. What do you do for a living? 99% of Police Officers are good, decent, professional people with families who go to work every day and put their life on the line for jackasses like you. Remember your comments, because there will come a day when you will eat your words...like the day when 4 officers showed up at my house and saved the life of my 2 year old. Thanks to the men and women in blue who keep our county safe night and day, holidays and weekends.

Responding to "Miss Proud of our Police": Unfortunately, law enforcement is a dangerous profession. One might reasonably assume that every peace officer knows that going in, as does every soldier, sailor or for that matter violent criminal. This in no way mitigates the phenomenon of officers who abuse their ability to threaten or initiate deadly force. Most citizens recognize that there is a 'blue wall of silence' that allows many police officers to get away with just about anything, including murder. To say so, or to discuss any specific person who was able to victimize civilians because s/he had the badge and the gun is *not* a blanket accusation of decent folks in law enforcement. To argue 'But they get killed; They keep us safe' while true implies that the police ought to have rights that civilians don't. I sincerely doubt that Juliana Rubio or Angelina Torres felt particularly "protect[ed]... from the evils of this society" while they were being humiliated and forced to walk home in their underwear. That 'punishment' is not only outside police policy, but it is evidence of a very twisted personality. The problem is not so much that there are sick bastards, but that sick bastards are in uniform. In many cases, nothing will ever be done about a bad cop (blue wall of silence) unless a particularly egregious abuse makes headlines.

I am retired sargent(headquarters, yapank)vincent ellsworths daughter. I was just watching t.v. and coming across MSNBC saw the allegations against officer Frank Wright. My father served the department for over 20 years. The SCPD has always been a well looked upon department and I'm sure this situiation will be handeled with all dignity and thoroughness.

Just thought that I would take a look. I am taking the next test and hope to get into the department

How soon we forget the many men and women who die everyday protecting the people of the communties they serve. It is rarely front page news or even in the newspaper at all when an Officer is killed or wounded in the line of duty. The media and a certain percentage of the population love to jump all over the few and I mean few rouge officers that are in the ranks. This is a shame. My thoughts are for those families who spent their holidays with out their love ones around. In the year 2000 there were 149 Law enforcement officers killed. The media makes no mention of this. To all of those who make their negative comments on this websight, to those who criticize the police remember when your home at night sleeping safe in your warm bed... There is a cop out there protecting you from the evils of this society something you wouldn't have the guts to do.

If one of those women your animalistic cops forced to stip and walk naked took out a gun and blew their brains out, I would vote not guilty in any court of law. You cops have become no better than Nazi's. That's why white people hate you too.

DISGUSTED - DISGUSTED

Officer Frank Wright is a complete disgrace to this county, the state, and the country. He should never be allowed to carry a badge again. He should be permanently banned from ever having a gun license. This man should be making license plates with the same creeps that make this world a disgusting place to live. If the SCPD ends up having to pay out on this one it damn well better not be tax dollars going to these poor women who suffered humiliation at this moron's whim. How does a genious like this end up being a 20+ year veteran on the force? How many other people did he unnecessarily harass, bother, humiliate, and possibly violate? FRANK WRIGHT IS A SHAMEFUL EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY NOT USE HIS POWER TO MANIPULATE PEOPLE TO SATISFY HIS SEXUAL DESIRES.

Quick, put out an APB! A man representing himself has a police officer has been pulling women over, giving them Breathalyzer tests until they fail one, then forcing them to strip down to their panties and walk home in the cold. Goes by "Officer Frank Wright". Other known aliases: "Officer I've Gotta Badge, Lady"; "Officer Abuse o power"; "Officer Cheap Thrills"; "Officer Gonna Cost De County Bigga Bucks".
